Welcome to Greater Newburyport Youth Field Hockey
Fall Season 2026
The 2026 season will run September 1st through November 8th. We will offer teams in 4 age groups: grades 1/2, grades 3/4, grades 5/6, and grades 7/8.
Practices will be held twice per week for Grades 5/6 and 7/8 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and once per week for Grades 1/2 and 3/4 (Tuesdays). To ensure players are practicing on turf, practices will take place at
The Governor’s Academy in September from 5:45pm to 6:45pm and at Maple Crossing in Amesbury 5pm to 6pm starting October 6th.
Our first practice will be held on Tuesday, September 8th. Grades 1-4 will focus on stick skills, fundamentals, and small-area drills and scrimmages during their weekly practice sessions. Grades 5-8 will practice twice per week to allow for more full-field instruction and game simulation that require additional field space.
Games will be held on Sundays--half home and half away. Our first game will be on Sunday, September 13th, our last game will be on Sunday, November 8th, and no game will be played on Sunday, October 12th.
Registration is $175 per player for grades 1-4 and $200 per player for grades 5-8.
Registration will close on Wednesday, June 24th.
We may have a few spots available depending on age groups, please email us directly.

Our mission.
Newburyport Youth Field Hockey (NYFH) is dedicated to creating a fun and inclusive environment for field hockey players at all levels to develop individual skills, self-confidence, and a love of the game. NYFH values teamwork and good sportsmanship while practicing and competing.
Order uniforms + Gear
Our uniforms will remain the same as last year and include a reversible jersey with the player's number and last name, a skirt, and white/black socks. Please order your uniform by July 15th to ensure it arrives in time for the first game of the season. We have jerseys and skirts in every size available for try-on; please contact Lindsay Batastini to try them on.
In addition to new uniforms, we also have a team store with lots of Newburyport Field Hockey-branded merchandise and gear. A portion of the proceeds from all sales benefit our program.
